Brief
Petme is a startup founded by young, vision-driven individuals. The project is currently in a seed round of funding, with hopes of launching soon in larger markets. The idea behind Petme is to reunite lost pets with their concerned owners and to fulfill the aspirations of those eager to open their hearts and homes through pet adoption. The mission revolves around bridging the gap between pets who have lost their way and individuals who are eager to offer them a caring sanctuary. Guided by a considerate and user-centric design, the startup has crafted an experience that not only aids in locating your missing furry companion but also allows you to embark on a heartwarming journey of becoming a pet parent to an adrift yet endearing companion.
Approach. Outcome
I had the pleasure of collaborating closely with a Product Designer to comprehensively understand all facets of the project. This included delving into user personas, identifying pain points, discerning their objectives, crafting user stories, formulating the problem statement, and developing story maps, among other elements. The founders' vision for the illustrations was to infuse them with modernity, joy, and visual allure. In response, I introduced a systematic approach encompassing both color and shape coordination. My illustrative work revolved around utilizing varying sizes of circles, a technique that ensured a sense of cohesion throughout. Additionally, I subtly integrated these illustrative elements into the company's visual identity. My aim was to strike a balance—injecting a sense of freshness with the illustrations, while upholding harmony with the app's design language, without overwhelming the overall aesthetic.
